Most buildings are integration projects, whether planned or not
Very few buildings run a single controls platform installed at one point in time. Chillers, boilers, rooftop units, variable frequency drives, metering, and packaged equipment each arrive with their own controllers and protocols. Integration is the work of making those systems operate as one coordinated building: monitored from one place, following one set of sequences, and serviceable by one team.
We integrate over the protocols that dominate real buildings: BACnet/IP and MS/TP, Modbus TCP and RTU, LON, and RS485-based equipment interfaces. That includes tying packaged equipment into an existing BAS, connecting a new plant to legacy controls, and bringing mixed-brand sites under a common front end.
Integration with operational continuity in mind
On an operating building, integration cannot mean shutting the site down while systems are rebuilt. We plan integration work around operating hours, phase cutovers so critical systems stay under control, and keep fallback positions available while new communication paths are proven.
Just as important is what happens after handover: an integration is only successful if it can be serviced. We document network architecture, addressing, and mappings so the integrated system remains maintainable, whether by us or by whoever supports the building in the future.

Can new equipment be tied into our existing BAS?
In most cases, yes. Chillers, boilers, RTUs, VFDs, meters, and packaged equipment with BACnet, Modbus, or LON interfaces can usually be integrated into the existing system. We review the existing platform and the equipment's interface documentation first, then confirm the integration approach.
Our building has controls from several brands. Can they work together?
Usually, yes. Mixed-brand sites are common, and open protocols make coordinated operation possible. We assess what each system exposes, then design the integration so the building can be monitored and operated coherently.
Can you replace or modernize just the front end?
Often the supervisory software or front end can be modernized while field controllers stay in place, which controls cost and disruption. Whether that is advisable depends on the age and openness of the installed controllers, which we review before recommending it.
